... Cut them down we did.
Once again we've vanquished another yellow robed cultist and the owl beast. Upon searching him we find another golden medallion. This cultist was standing near and altar where the large egg was, from which the owl-beast emerged. We took a brief look at the alter but could discern nothing, so we moved on.
As we continued our search we came into a room, similar to the last, but this one contained an Owl-beast about to eat a chained up woman. We quickly attacked, overwhelming it and cutting it down. To secure the girls freedom, Sigorn stepped forward and set his spear in the chains to break them. As he strongly pulled back, to break the chain, he was overcome with his sickness and spewed what little was still left in his stomach onto the girl. Stostine pushed him to the side and allowed Searos access to the chains where he easily picked the locks and freed the girl.
She told us her name was Rose and that she'd been here for days but every time they'd moved her they'd done so in the dark and she was so disoriented she didn't know anything of where she was or where to go.
Stostine immediately took her under her wing, cleaned her up andclothed her in gray cultist robes. Bruun gave her a dagger to hold, in case she needed to fight, and Sigorn gave Bruun a spear to use.
Curious to find duplicate medallions of gold, and even bronze, we decided to inspect them some more. While doing so we also noticed that the medallions fit into a groove upon the altars that we found in all three rooms. Battlebeard and Sigorn both grabbed a medallion and placed it into the groove on the altar, and both disappeared. We stood around for a few minutes wondering what next to do when Battlebeard suddenly appeared before us again. He explained the medallions were keys to transportation, but that the transportation was only between the three altar rooms that we'd already cleared out.
It's getting pretty dark in here, we keep wondering around but we only have the one lantern lit. Luckily it's very bright.
In our walking around we've found ourselves in a large room with multiple passage ways that pass through a horrific wall. The wall is sculpted to look like the large tentacled monster that lives in the chasm. We're taking a break before we investigate the passage ways.
P.S. At least Sigorn has stopped breathing so heavy. He actually looks like he's relaxing and has stopped sweating. Some color is coming back to his face.
